Acrylic paintings with an impressionist influence and a contemporary flair

ARTIST STATEMENT

Through her education and career as an industrial designer, Megan has developed a strong appreciation for the forms and details within her daily environments. She works in acrylics, creating expressive paintings that reach just beyond realism. Megan’s admiration of impressionists can be seen through her slice-of-life depictions, varying brushstroke styles, and experimentations with light and color. She enjoys the meditative process of recreating imagery from her lived experiences, studying and interpreting the elements that she finds visually striking.
