Acrylic paintings with an impressionist influence and a contemporary flair

ARTIST STATEMENT
Through my education and career as an industrial designer, I have developed a strong appreciation for the forms and details within my daily environments. I work in acrylics, creating vivid paintings that reach just beyond realism. My admiration of impressionists can be seen through slice-of-life depictions, varying brushstroke styles, and experimentations with light and color. I enjoy the meditative process of recreating imagery from my lived experiences, studying and interpreting the elements that I find visually striking. I invite the viewer to sink into scenes that are often skimmed over, to find reverence within the ordinary, and to carry that sense of presence with them.
